The growing scooter market in India is beckoning international scooter makers and this time Yamaha has been reported to foray in the country with Yamaha BWs125 Fi, a commuter scooter. The gearless scooter has done good for Yamaha in many international markets and now heading towards India after the gala success of Yamaha FZ series in India.

Yamaha BWs125 Fi features a 4 stroke, single cylinder, 4 valve, Fuel injection, SOHC powertrain, it is the same configuration which is used in Yamaha bikes world over. The engine of the Yamaha BWs125 Fi pumps out a top power figure of 6.7 kw at 7,500 rpm and churns out a peak torque of 9.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The scooter uses V-belt automatic transmission. The fuel system of the Yamaha BWs125 Fi is fuel injection that is meant for more power, performance, acceleration and mileage.
The Yamaha BWs125 Fi comes loaded with front disc brake and rear drum type brake, it has front telescopic shocker and rear unit link fork. The most fascinating features is its massive tyres with 12 inch long rim for better stability and grip on road. In addition, Yamaha BWs125 Fi sports 6 litres of fuel tank and 1290mm of wheelbase.
The unique design Yamaha BWs125 Fi will change the scenario overall, when it launches in India, as it has distinctive front view with new design twin headlamp, instrument panel, extra wide handlebars and exposed frame. As other scooters in India, Yamaha BWs125 Fi also host ample storage area in the form of front glove box and under seat luggage box.
